College Congratulations!

Congratulations to two of my high school students, who will both be heading off to New York City in the fall! Amanda Dukehart has been accepted by Parsons School of Design and Leah Aronhime has been accepted by FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). Way to go girls!

Practical Patternmaking • March 11-13, 2005

I have one space left in the class. If you are interested in registering, please contact me ASAP so I can reserve your spot.

During this three-day class, we will study and explore the basic principles of patternmaking using your mock-ups as our laboratory. In addition to fitting each class participant, I will teach you how to accurately change your pattern accordingly. You will develop good patternmaking skills as well as gain an understanding of how a pattern and fit are interrelated. Participants will have time to work on at least two or three different mock-ups. (Class fee: $395.00)

Annie's Wedding Photos

My oldest daughter, Annie, was married last October. I designed and sewed the wedding gown, bridesmaids' dresses, her own dress, the mother-of-the-groom dress, and more. Photos of these creations are now up in the photo gallery on my website.

Purveyor Photos

I am a technical and design consultant for Purveyor, a private label women's clothing company. I work closely with Mark Dillingham, the owner and designer, bringing my expertise in patternwork and fit to his fresh, innovative designs. Some photographs of Purveyor's recent creations are up in the photo gallery on my website. More information about Purveyor (purveyorusa.com) and photographer, Anton Papich (p2photographic.com), can be found on their websites.

Wovens With Spandex

Is anyone intersted in taking a one-day workshop on working with woven fabrics with spandex? A couple of people have shown interest and I only need a few more to form a class. I would be able to hold the class in April or May. Please email or call me if you are interested, with a couple of dates that would work for you.

NYC Fabric Shopping Day

Spring is in the air...the perfect time to go to NYC. Is anyone interested in going to the city for a day of fabric shopping? More information about my NYC day trips can be found on the Classes page of my website (in the Teaching section). Please email or call me if you are interested, with a couple of dates that would work for you. Get a group of your sewing friends together for a trip or join a group that I put together.
