Changing the position and shape of a neckline has the potential to make a so-so garment much more flattering on your figure. The object is to create a pleasing visual proportion between the garment neckline and the bust, upper torso, neck, and face. In the morning, Sarah will share with you the key things she looks for when developing a flattering neckline.

In the afternoon, you'll work in teams or small groups, practicing what you learned in the morning. Sarah will provide plenty of guidance. Each participant will need to bring 2 to 3 top mock-ups (woven or knit) or store-bought tops (inexpensive crew neck t-shirts work great). You'll leave with 2 to 5 flattering necklines that you can then apply to garments of all types (t-shirts, simple shell blouses, shirts, dresses, jackets, and more). Detailed description of what to bring will be sent out several weeks before the class.

Arrive any time after 9:00 with lecture beginning at 9:30. Coffee, tea, and homemade breakfast treats will be provided. Lunch is on your own. We'll finish at 4:00.
